Video System

Picked up some screens from eBay. Matching front visors have 8" widescreen monitors built in, and the flip down monitor is a 12" beast. Installation was pretty much a no-brainer, but I did have to get slightly magical with the mounting hardware for the visors. The stock clips that hold the visor in place did not line up at all with the new visors, so I had to fabricate them out of ABS plastic and epoxy. I also fabricated new mounting plates for the visors so they fit the oval stock opening, as the mounts that came with the monitors were rectangle. I took everything apart and paint matched everything so it all looks like one big happy family. To answer a question I know I'll be getting, with the rear monitor down, YES I can still see out of my rear view mirror!! Actually I can see the lights and hood of any car behind me.. the monitor just blocks the top portion of the rear view mirror view.

Rear monitor closed. Can't even notice it!! Okay just a little....

Driver side monitor. Not for use while driving.. DUH!

Passenger side monitor. Man those mounts look sexy.

Please feel free to if you have any questions. Happy RAV'n!
